Welcome to Springbok Press

Springbok Press is a new, niche South African publisher who aims to provide the local and international book markets with absorbing South African content. Our book list is deliberately small so that we can give the right amount of attention to each title and, because of this, we plan only to add a couple of new books every year. While we are passionate supporters of Springbok Rugby, our name has nothing to do with sport; yet it has everything to do with the hardy and quintessential South African antelope that still graces the plains of South Africa's arid interior. Because for us at Springbok Press, the mentally invigorating spaces of the Karoo and the Kalahari continue to fill us with wonder and inspiration - and the agile Springbok knows just how we feel.

It is an exciting and fast-moving historic account in novel form, and although it is packed with arresting and accessible facts, the story eschews long lists of dates and reams of text concerning treks, frontier wars and the racial struggles of the period.
